On the night of March 14, an earthquake surprised thousands of concert attendees in Mexico City, including Miguel Bosé's concert at the Auditorio Nacional as part of his ‘Importante Tour.’ The singer was on stage when the seismic alert was activated, forcing a temporary halt to the show while the venue was evacuated. Despite the scare, the 5.5 magnitude earthquake centered in southeastern Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca, did not have major repercussions in the capital, and Bosé's concert resumed once everything returned to normal.
During the earthquake, videos shared showed that despite the seismic alert sounding, Miguel Bosé continued singing on stage. Some attendees chose to remain in their seats on the second floor of the venue. After the incident, the presentation continued as planned. Once the concert ended, the artist did not address the topic, limiting himself to thanking his followers on social media.
Not only was Miguel Bosé's concert affected, but Christian Nodal also performed at the Plaza de Toros La México on the same night. Although the seismic alert sounded while waiting for the show to start, once the tremor passed, everything took place normally. The singer did not comment on the matter on his social media and focused on sharing the video of his performance.
Authorities from the Benito Juárez municipality confirmed that both Bosé's and Nodal's concerts, as well as another event with Argentine rapper C.R.O at the Pepsi Center, would proceed as planned. Although some people got up from their seats during the earthquake, the evacuation took place without complications. The musicians stopped playing momentarily, but once the situation was restored, the shows continued without issues.
